Customize your public profile URL
Make your personal profile look more professional (and much easier to share) by customizing your LinkedIn public profile URL. Instead of a URL with a million confusing numbers at the end, it will look nice and clean like this: http://www.linkedin.com/in/example.
Use Keywords With Intent
Words are so incredibly important, especially when search is a big part of the equation. Using the right keywords in your profile is the difference between being found and being invisible.
Identify the words you want to be found for when people use LinkedIn search and use those keywords in your headline, summary, and profile.
Make your profile stand out by adding rich media (videos, slides etc). Even just adding a profile photo could result in 14 times more profile views than someone without!
Sharing valuable content via status-updates
Just like on any of the other social networks, the idea is to share valuable information with your network. Have you just published a blog post? Or read an interesting article? Or viewed in inspiring video on Youtube?
Enagage With Relevant Content
Engage with relevant content from others as well as content you curate that is relevant to who you are and what you do.
Publish Amazing Posts
LinkedIn posts offer another way to grow your influence, gain more visibility, and acquire new followers.
Your existing connections are notified whenever you publish. New people can discover your posts via search.
Of course the ultimate goal on LinkedIn is to get people to read your profile. So what LinkedIn doesn’t tell you, but what’s in my opinion more important than the number of views you get, is the number of referrals you get from LinkedIn to your website.
